Enhancing Public Safety: Metropolitan Police Bureau Launches Training to Boost Radio Skills and 191 Emergency Response Efficiency

On June 23, 2026, at 8:30 AM, Pol. Maj. Gen. Charin Kopatta, Deputy Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau (Deputy Comr., MPB), presided over the opening ceremony of the "Radio Skills and 191 Emergency Response Efficiency Enhancement Training Project." This initiative focuses on upgrading the technical and communication capabilities of personnel to handle emergency situations more swiftly.
The ceremony was attended by prominent police executives, led by Pol. Maj. Gen. Worawit Yanjinda, Commander of the Patrol and Special Operations Division (191 Unit), along with Deputy Commanders of the division (Pol. Col. Phitak Suttikul, Pol. Col. Denla Rattanakit, Pol. Col. Apichan Sawadibut, and Pol. Col. Noppadol Thiammetha). Deputy Commanders from Metropolitan Police Divisions 1–2, 4–9, and the Crowd Control Division were also present.
Key figures from the Communications Center, including Superintendent Pol. Col. Sompong Ekkawat and Deputy Superintendents (Pol. Lt. Col. Chuchart Meesang, Pol. Lt. Col. Phornsarin Sanphatanon, and Pol. Lt. Col. Phakin Siripunyaporn), also joined the event alongside the trainees.

Following the opening ceremony, Pol. Maj. Gen. Charin Kopatta and the delegation conducted an official inspection visit to the 191 Emergency Response Center. The visit aimed to monitor operations, assess the readiness of the dispatch systems, and provide encouragement to the frontline officers dedicated to serving the public.
